Johnny Marr.

I saw Modest Mouse in September, and was in complete -awe- of Johnny Marr. I just starred at his guitar playing and awesome stage presence. I couldn't comprehend it..that's..Johnny Marr! It was like you just knew, right away, that this guy was an awesome guitar player.

So I just had to go home and listen to his previous work, and make a vector.
I wanted to vector loosely this time, for a more painterly feel, using different colors for shades. I really like it. Illustrator's pencil tool is my new best friend. <3

I hope it looks like him, since I didn't follow the posterization as I usually do, and the reference was black & white.

Oh, and the guitar was a nightmare to vector, at first. But as I went on, it got funner. I apologize to any guitarists out there, for any technical mistakes in vectoring it. Haha.

Anyway, enjoy! =]
Hopefully there are Johnny Marr fans out there. ;D

Daily DeviationJohnny Marr and His Guitar by ~SoftSpirit118: Softspirit has many great pieces but I chose this one. The easy path in Vector is to build on simple shapes following the even road. But breaking free from that path is so much more fun.=D I don't always share Sasha's taste in music but the passion she shows in her works often makes me run out to listen to the artist hoping I'll be so inspired by their work as she is. (Suggested by =Mirabel and Featured by ^Ikue)

A very very nice vector - I love the painterly style & the lighting is wonderful. It's a very intense piece & it inspires me to do one of my fav artist - Sting! Right on for you & I'll keep an eye out for more of your stuff. :)
